- Prawns:500mg
- Onion:1 small finely chopped
- Tomato:2 medium sized (ground to a paste)
- Oil:3-5 tbs
- Chilli Powder:2 tbsp
- Cumin Powder:1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder:1/2 tbsp
- Water:1/2 cup
- Garam Masala Powder:1 tbsp
- Salt: As per taste
- Coriander leaves:3 tbsp finely chopped
Method:
- Heat 3 tbsp. oil in a kadai.
- Add chopped onions,fry for a minute till light brown.
- Add chilli powder,cumin powder,turmeric powder.
- Immediately add ground tomatoes and stir well.
- Add the salt and then add 1/2 cup water.
- Close the kadai with a lid an simmer on medium flame for 5 minutes.
- Open the lid,add the raw prawns.
- Cook for 3 minutes. When prawns are cooked,add the garam masala powder and coriander leaves and stir well.
- Serve hot.
Goes well with rice,parathas,chappatis and puris.
