Prawn Tomato Curry

Ingredients:
  1. Prawns:500mg

  2. Onion:1 small finely chopped

  3. Tomato:2 medium sized (ground to a paste)

  4. Oil:3-5 tbs

  5. Chilli Powder:2 tbsp

  6. Cumin Powder:1/2 tbsp

  7. Turmeric Powder:1/2 tbsp

  8. Water:1/2 cup

  9. Garam Masala Powder:1 tbsp

  10. Salt: As per taste

  11. Coriander leaves:3 tbsp finely chopped

Method:

  1. Heat 3 tbsp. oil in a kadai.

  2. Add chopped onions,fry for a minute till light brown.

  3. Add chilli powder,cumin powder,turmeric powder.

  4. Immediately add ground tomatoes and stir well.

  5. Add the salt and then add 1/2 cup water.

  6. Close the kadai with a lid an simmer on medium flame for 5 minutes.

  7. Open the lid,add the raw prawns.

  8. Cook for 3 minutes. When prawns are cooked,add the garam masala powder and coriander leaves and stir well.

  9. Serve hot.

Goes well with rice,parathas,chappatis and puris.
